Keegan Murray is the latest to voice his frustration about the Sacramento Kings’ 6-20 start this 2025-26 NBA campaign, which includes losing seven of their past eight games.
“It sucks. I haven’t been on a team that’s lost this many games in a long time,” Murray said via Jake Gadon of CBS Sacramento. “Hopefully, we can turn this around. Winning is the best feeling in the world, and losing… going home is terrible.”
“The first couple of years that I’ve been here has been nice, and then you stack on the losses, and just the turnover… I think it takes a toll on you. It’s just something you gotta figure out,” he added.
The Sacramento Kings are coming off a 117-103 defeat against the Anthony Edwards-less Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, as they continue to be without star center Domantas Sabonis, and Zach LaVine exited early due to an ankle injury.

Sacramento Kings News: Doug Christie hints at radical shift after latest loss
With the Sacramento Kings going nowhere, head coach Doug Christie is leaning towards developing the team’s young core, especially with their veteran stars linked to various trade rumors.
“We’ve got to find out about our guys and develop them—that’s the biggest piece of the puzzle. We need to make sure these players are as ready and as developed as they possibly can be. These young players are going to be the cornerstones of what we’re building moving forward,” Christie said.
This would mean more minutes and opportunities for rookies Nique Clifford and Maxime Raynaud, with the latter already excelling in place of the injured Sabonis in the starting five.
