Victor Wembanyama recently weighed in on the “Face of the NBA” debate, and the San Antonio Spurs center strongly believes he should be in the conversation.

“Of course,” Wembanyama said on Kevin Hart’s YouTube series “Cold as Balls”. “I think (there can) be only one face of the NBA, and it’s definitely there.”
Wembanyama is coming off another robust campaign with the San Antonio Spurs. The Frenchman averaged 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and a league-leading 3.8 blocks on 47.6 percent shooting from the field.

Wembanyama only managed to play 46 regular season games, as he was diagnosed with a deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) blood clot in his right shoulder. However, the San Antonio Spurs center is good to go as of this writing.
San Antonio Spurs News: Victor Wembanyama speaks up on training with NBA legend this offseason
Victor Wembanyama spent time with Hakeem Olajuwon this offseason, looking to improve his footwork and big man skills, and the San Antonio Spurs star spoke highly of the Hall of Fame center.

“His advice felt natural. Even though it was a lot, it felt like I was absorbing it every day,” Wembanyama said about Olajuwon via ESPN’s Michael C. Wright. “It looked like it was a pleasure for him to teach. I would want to go again for sure.”
“I can assure you nobody has trained like I did this summer,” he added. “I think I’ve maxed out what I could do in one offseason. Now, I need to play basketball.”
