Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, dropped his reaction to Chiney Ogwumike’s upcoming comedy series titled ‘The W’. The WNBA-focused comedy series is definitely one a kind and is one of the first sports-comedy shows to fully focus on women. Ogwumike will be working closely with the creators of the series to bring out the best perspectives for the plots of the show.

Ogwumike has not officially retired from professional basketball, and is still considered to be part of the Los Angeles Sparks roster as a power forward. However, she did not play for the Sparks in the previous season and has since then forged a career for herself in television as an analyst.

“Love this for you,” Alexis Ohanian posted on his X account, tagging Chiney Ogwumike.

Apart from coming up with the idea of the WNBA-based comedy series, Ogwumike has also launched a female-focused production company called ‘Victorious’. ‘The W’ will be the very first project which the production company will undertake.

When asked about the reasoning behind creating ‘The W’ in a recent interview, Ogwumike highlighted the absence of female athletes-based shows in the market today. She also went on to throw light on shows like ‘Ballers’ on HBO, which focuses on male footballers. Despite many shows being undertaken which showcase the life of male athletes, there are very few which do the same for female athletes.

Serena Williams’ Business Empire Expands With Janie And Jack Collaboration

Meanwhile, Serena Williams is doing what she does best, i.e. winning at everything. Williams is reportedly getting into the children’s clothing industry with a brand-new collaboration with ‘Janie and Jack’. Her own children, Olympia and Adira, are also an important part and reason for this collaboration since they too can bring their own fashion ideas to life.

Williams has already been making great strides in terms of makeup, with her WYN Beauty brand. The WYN Beauty brand has set itself apart from other makeup brands for being long-lasting and created with high performance in mind.

Serena Williams and Janie and Jack joining hands is nothing new. Williams has been dressing her children up in Janie and Jack items for quite some time, and has chosen a rightful partner in the popular brand for this type of collaboration. To show off her tie-up with Janie and Jack and also announce her collection, Williams dropped a number of pictures on her Instagram for her delighted fans and followers.
