Oklahoma City Thunder star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander got appreciation from none other than his wife, Hailey Summers, as he recently achieved a career milestone that placed him on the same level as the Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

Only recently, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander achieved a remarkable career milestone, becoming only the second player in the past 40 years to score 30 or more points in 40 or more games across three consecutive seasons. This feat placed him alongside Michael Jordan, who previously held this record solo.

SGA’s wife, Hailey Summers, expressed her pride in the achievement of her husband and shared a post celebrating the feat on her Instagram page.

She simply captioned it with a few emojis.

Over the weekend, the Oklahoma City Thunder secured a narrow 103-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in a thrilling game at the Intuit Dome. Despite missing key players Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, the Thunder showcased their resilience and extended their winning streak to six games.

The Clippers, who were on a five-game win streak, fought hard but ultimately fell short, marking a setback in their playoff positioning.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played a pivotal role in the Thunder’s victory, contributing 26 points, eight assists, and three rebounds. Although he had an off-night shooting, going 7-of-29 from the field and 1-of-7 from beyond the arc, SGA excelled at the free-throw line, making all 11 of his attempts.

The Thunder’s supporting cast also stepped up, with Aaron Wiggins scoring 19 points and Isaiah Hartenstein recording a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Defensive contributions from Luguentz Dort and Alex Caruso further solidified the team’s effort.

Shai-Gilgeous Alexander Surpasses Jokic on MVP Race

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander recently surpassed Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic in the race for the title of season’s MVP.

The Thunder’s impressive 12.5-game lead in the standings is a major factor in MVP voting, and highlights Shai’s ability to elevate his team’s performance. While Jokić’s triple-double averages are noteworthy, the Thunder’s success under Shai’s leadership has become a key factor in the MVP race.

Shai leads the NBA in scoring with an average of 33 points per game, complemented by 5 rebounds and 6.2 assists. His recent performances have been particularly impressive, including a 48-point outburst against the Detroit Pistons and a dominant 31-point, 8-assist game against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone, in a previous statement, defended Nikola Jokic from criticism over him sitting out games in the past week. Jokic’s missed games contributed to Shai Gligeous-Alexander catching up and surpassing him in rankings.
