The Orlando Magic had a little bump on the road at the start of the season but things are going well now for them.

The Florida team got their third straight win after surviving a thriller wit the Chicago Bulls, 125-120. They have won eight of their last ten games, a sign that their 1-4 start to the season is now a thing of the past.
Desmond Bane came out as the hero with his history-making 37 points which is the same amount of points he posted in the win over the Detroit Pistons. The back to back scoring performance meant he is now the first Magic player since club legend Tracy McGrady in 2004 to have back-to-back 37 or more points.
“Shout out T-Mac, first and foremost,” Bane said when asked about his milestone.

“I work every summer to be the most complete basketball player I can be. I’m nowhere where I wanna be, but I feel like my game’s in a place where I can impact a game in a lot of different ways.”
Two other players scored 20 or more, led by Franz Wagner who had 25 and Anthony Black who produced 22 off the bench.
Orlando Magic got a gem in Black
Bane is the hero this time and he got a support in Black. The veteran shooting guard acknowledged the leap the 2023 6th overall pick is having this season.
“He’s mentality is in a great spot. Willing to learn. He’s blossoming for us.”
“He’s definitely blossoming for us.”

Black confirms this hardwork that Bane talked about. He has been working with skills coach God Shammgod on his offball movement and he thought it is helping. However, he also pointed out the different mentality he is having this season as the key to his ascend.
“Obviously those are things I’m working on with Shamm – ball-handling, shooting off the dribble, different finishes inside the 3pt line,” he said as quoted by Ryan Kaminski of MagiconSI.
“But I think the biggest development is just my aggression – me going out there trying to score, trying to get to the rim every time, and then shooting my open shots.
“It’s just a mentality shift more than anything.”
