Julius Randle and his wife, Kendra, just made a jaw-dropping move that has NBA community buzzing. The Minnesota Timberwolves forward and his college sweetheart dropped serious bread on 60 acres of land to build their dream home.

But instead of celebrating the power couple’s big purchase, fans went straight into attack mode.
Julius Randle and His Wife Buy 60 Acres of Land to Build a Home
Kendra announced the September land acquisition in an Instagram post reflecting on 2025. She shared how she and Julius have been dreaming about this since they first met at the University of Kentucky back in 2013, expressing excitement about watching their three kids run around on all that property.
“Julius & I have talked and dreamt about this since we met,” she wrote. “I’m so grateful and excited to see our babies run around on this land.”
The 60-acre plot represents a major investment for the Randle family. They plan to build a custom home on this 60-acre plot where their three children — sons Kyden and Jayce, plus newborn daughter Romi Joelle — can grow up with a big space to explore.
Julius and Kendra met at her 20th birthday party during their time at Kentucky. He played one season for the Wildcats before entering the NBA draft as a one-and-done player in 2014. The Lakers selected him seventh overall, and Kendra moved to California to support his career.
After their marriage in August 2017, they’ve been together through Julius’s stops in Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York, and now Minnesota. Kendra previously described the move to Minnesota as a welcome change from New York City living.
Buying 60 acres signals their long-term vision as a family. But as soon as the news hit social media, the trolls came out in full force with brutal takes.
Fans Unleash Savage Reactions to the Purchase
Folks on the internet wasted zero time roasting the Randles’ extraordinary real estate move with wild theories that are not positive in any way.
One fan wrote, “They gone kill the n— and take the land.”
Another added, “Nice score for her people. They gone have some nice land once they take it.”
The third fan noted, “His son will marry white and just like that the black genes are gone. Generational wealth out of the community.”
A fourth said, “She gone file for divorce once he retires lol he talking about his college sweetheart…like he was one n done in college…he gone learn the hard way.”
The fifth fan claimed, “Chill at least do this after the trade deadline.”
A random X user added, “Junt gone look like Texas chainsaw massacre property.”
Their divorce predictions echo a tired narrative that NBA wives only stick around for the money. But Julius and Kendra have been together since 2013, before he got drafted.
However, X never had a reputation for spreading positivity. So, such reactions continue to appear both in good and bad times.
