Angel Reese played 30 games in 2025 before a back injury ended her second season. She led the WNBA in rebounding for the second year in a row, averaging 12.6 rebounds, along with 14.7 points, 3.7 assists, and 1.5 steals.
Reese became the third player in league history to average a double-double in each of her first two seasons. By the time her season ended, she had reached 46 career double-doubles, breaking the record for the most ever recorded in a player’s first two years.
Despite her individual success and second All-Star selection, the Chicago Sky struggled throughout the year. The team finished with a 10–34 record, missing the playoffs and tying with the Dallas Wings for the worst record in the league.
Off the court, Reese continued to build her brand. In January 2025, she appeared on the cover of Vogue’s Winter issue alongside Olympic sprinter Gabby Thomas. Later that year, she became the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, wearing silver-and-white wings at the October event.

This high-fashion pivot aligns with her “Bayou Barbie” persona and a massive social media presence, including 5.2 million followers on Instagram and 6 million on TikTok. While she has become a fixture in fashion and culture, even signing with a modeling agency, she hasn’t actually entered the world of beauty pageants.
But on Tuesday, a viral post on Hoops claimed Reese had been voted the “prettiest female athlete” in the United States, with the claim centered on a post from X user Latty. The tweet read, “Angel Reese has been voted as the ‘prettiest female athlete’ in the USA with over 76% of the total votes.”

However, there is no credible voting report found, but fans are into the alleged claim, and the majority think there are more pretty athletes already available in the USA.
Fans debate Angel Reese’s place as the prettiest athlete
As soon as the viral claim hit people’s news feeds, fans started typing their colorful notes in the comments.
One fan bluntly asked, “Voted by who?”
Another one pointed to the Olympic roster as Exhibit A in the counterargument, penning, “The Olympic village would like a word.”
Sophie Cunningham’s name came up more than once, with one writing, “Sophie Cunningham would like a word.”
The fourth fan backed the idea, penning, “Come on, that’s not even close to true. She is not even in the same league with Sophie when it comes to beauty inside and out.”
A fifth fan called it “Leftist Propaganda. This b—- is Mid at best.”
A random X user wrote, “She’s got nothing without those Yummy thighs.”
Her reach is enough to ignite any comment section. Whether people support or criticize her, one thing is clear: when Reese’s name is attached to a stat, a headline, or a viral post, people show up to talk about it.
