Chicago Sky Forward Angel Reese has never been one to downplay her grind. While many chose to remain humble, she is famous for flexing in the hoops community besides her impressive self performance.

Reese averaged 14.7 points and a league-high 12.6 rebounds in 2025, earning her second straight All-Star nod. But when the 23-year-old posted a video playfully reminding boyfriend Wendell Carter Jr. that she’s juggling way more than basketball, fans came out with their keyboards to type some reality check.

Angel Reese Reminds Wendell Carter Jr. She Works More Than Just in WNBA

The Bayou Barbie stays busy off the court, jumping between her endorsement deals, her podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” and modeling work. To add more responsibility, NBA 2K26 put her on the game cover.

According to Forbes reports in December 2025, Reese earned an estimated $9.4 million in 2025, placing her among the top 20 highest-paid female athletes globally. So, it makes sense when she flexes about her work outside the WNBA.

In a video posted to her Instagram Stories, Reese referenced a classic “Everybody Hates Chris” bit featuring Rochelle bragging about her husband having two jobs.

“I had a long day at work,” Reese said. “Don’t you love your woman that got five jobs? You can tell people, ‘I don’t need this. My man got two jobs.’ You can be like, ‘I don’t need this. My girl got 15,000 jobs.'”

While her WNBA salary sits at $74,909, Reese’s off-court ventures make up the bulk of her income. Her “15,000 jobs” include brand partnerships with Reebok, Goldman Sachs, PlayStation, Amazon and dozens more. She also hosts a weekly podcast, is a part-owner in DC Power FC, and holds equity in Unrivaled.

She and Carter Jr., 26, went public about their relationship in November 2025. The Orlando Magic center, averaging 12.1 points and 7.3 rebounds this season, earns a base salary of $10,850,000, which is ironically more than whatever Reese is earning through all his so-called “15,000” jobs.

WNBA fans roast Angel Reese’s workload flex

So, fans wasted no time clowning Reese, with many pointing out the salary gap.

One fan wrote, “So sad! You really cannot match your boyfriend’s level.”

Another one joked, “I mean his job pays for her job.”

A third penned, “She so funny because she Rochelle 😂😂😂😂😂 she don’t need one of those 15k jobs as long she rocking with Wendell.”

The fourth one shared, “Angel is funny 😭😭.”

A fifth one added, “She’s breaking stereotypes and his jaw simultaneously.”

Everyone knows NBA players earn far more than WNBA players, and that gap shows up in Reese’s income. While she has built a strong business through endorsements, her annual value does not come close to her boyfriend’s basketball salary.

Reese has spoken openly about this pay gap, once calling her WNBA salary “a bonus” compared to what she makes from endorsements. Some fans mocked the comment. Still, she has built one of the league’s biggest brands and is the most-followed WNBA player on Instagram, with over 5 million followers.
