Sophie Cunningham recently had a bare-it-all interview on the ‘Sundae Conversation with Caleb Pressley’ where the WNBA star had much to say about the green dildos thrown at W players this campaign. Clearly, not one W fan had ‘green dildos being thrown on the court’ in their bingo card for this year, but the incident did occur, not just once.
With all their security measures and cameras, game organizers still failed to identify who actually threw the dildos onto the court. Cunningham was one of the few players who actually called out the incidents on her social media.

“It kinda scared me. I wasn’t expecting a dildo to be thrown at me, especially during a game,” Sophie Cunningham said.

Sophie Cunningham not only addressed the green dildo incident, but also spoke much about her plans for when she retires from the W. The free-agent was also asked about her signing with Project B, which has received plenty of backlash from fans and critics who feel that she will be playing for blood money since the league is based in Saudi Arabia, which has poor rights for their own women.
Pressley did ask her if Cunningham found it absolutely necessary to play for such a league and if she would be better off making money through OnlyFans. Of course, Cunningham wasn’t having any of this cheek and smartly put out that leagues like the W and Project B are what gives female athletes platforms for their popularity in the first place.
Sophie Cunningham Announces Interest In WWE After Basketball
Sophie Cunningham also spoke about her retirement plans in her ‘Show Me Something’ podcast where she surprised her fans when she admitted that she might consider a career in the WWE ring. Apparently, she was asked by the WWE to participate in their fights, but of course, with her career in the W, it would have been difficult for Cunningham to get into the ring.

Cunningham is obviously not done with her basketball career as of yet, and is definitely looking for more opportunities in the sport. But, it also seems like Cunningham is smartly paving her way for her future, with her singing with Project B and whatnot.
Cunningham is not the only player to sign with the league, but also Nneka Ogwumike, who is incidentally the president of the WNBPA. The players themselves have received plenty of criticism for choosing to play for a league which is funded by a country which has poor human rights.
