Sophie Cunningham recently reacted to Michael Porter Jr.’s comments a few days ago about playing against her while he was in the eighth grade. Porter. Jr. spoke with the Ball brothers on their ‘Ball in the Family’ podcast, where the Nets hooper recalled that he managed to dominate professional female basketball players while his sisters were with the University of Missouri, while he was just in the eighth grade.
Cunningham addressed these comments in her ‘Show Me Something’ podcast, where she plainly agreed to Porter Jr.’s comments. The free agent also admitted that it is true that male and female ballers have different physiques, and there should be no further debate about whether NBA or WNBA players are better.

“If you are a professional football player, basketball player, really any sport… If you’re in that elite level group, yeah, you should be able to beat the girls. I’m not surprised by that. I just don’t get why it’s continuing to get brought up.“If they [the 8th graders] are future pros, it just depends how big they are at that age. I don’t want to be unrealistic or delusional. Like, men are just stronger, bigger, athletic. They just are a different build. So if you put them up against females, yeah, they’re gonna win.” Sophie Cunningham said.

Sophie Cunningham’s words about male and female hoopers are definitely true and it seems like the talented player handled Michael Porter Jr.’s comments with grace. Meanwhile, fans were not as merciful to Porter Jr. in the comments, with many questioning the reality of his story since Cunningham is not that older to him and wouldn’t have been a part of the league when he was in the eighth grade.

Sophie Cunningham’s Offseason Mantra Goes Viral
Meanwhile, Sophie Cunningham has been taking a well-deserved break from the court this offseason, with the baller even promoting the Sun Cruiser vodka iced tea brand. In a recent tweet, Cunningham shared a couple of pictures from the promotional event also communicating her off-season mantra.
“work had, cruise harder (sun emoji, yellow heart emoji, lightning emoji) #ad must be 21+” Sophie Cunningham tweeted.
Apart from promoting Sun Cruiser drinks, Sophie Cunningham has also been enjoying her time as a celebrity caddy to Caitlin Clark at the Annika Pro-Am. Cunningham, along with Lexie Hull, have brought plenty of laughs to the tournament, adding more glam and pizzazz with Clark in the picture.
