Sophie Cunningham sizzled on Instagram as the Indiana Fever guard recently dropped pictures of herself posing in a black bikini in a pickup truck. Cunningham shot a number of poses in the outfit, which was only accentuated stylishly by her black cowboy boots and cowboy hat. Cunningham also gave a nod to the movie ‘Mean Girls’ as she used a Regina George-inspired caption for her Instagram post.

Cunningham played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers for four seasons and then was selected by the Phoenix Mercury as the 13th overall pick in the second round of the 2019 WNBA draft. After playing for the Phoenix Mercury from 2019 to 2024, she was traded to the Indiana Fever recently and will be playing for the first time in the team in the upcoming WNBA season.

“Get in loser, we’re going backroadin,” Sophie Cunningham captioned her Instagram post.

Sophie Cunningham will be playing in her first season for the Indiana Fever alongside WNBA superstar, Caitlin Clark. In the previous WNBA season, Cunningham managed to chalk up 8.4 points in each game as an average, grabbing 3.9 rebounds and assisting twice in every clash.

Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas (25) drives against Phoenix Mercury guard Sophie Cunningham (9) on Friday, Sept. 13, 2024 at Footprint Center in Phoenix.

While Sophie Cunningham has definitely been a stalwart player for the Phoenix Mercury, she also managed to be embroiled in some controversy as she posed with a red hat which many fans interpreted to be a ‘MAGA’ hat. Cunningham never openly explained her political stance, or if she even supported US President Donald Trump in his election campaign, the post was enough to link her with the Republican political party.

Sophie Cunningham’s Indiana Fever Teammate Revealed Who Is The Cheapest

On another note, Sophie Cunningham’s Indiana Fever teammate, Caitlin Clark, recently named Lexie Hull as the stingiest teammate. Clark was quizzed on several topics in a round of mini-golf in her recent appearance on ‘The Eli Manning Show’. She was given the choice of putting the ball in the hole successfully, or having to answer a very personal question.

When asked who would be the last to pick up the check at a restaurant for a team dinner, Clark definitely tried her best to score with the putter, but failed. As a consequence, she was forced to answer the question and revealed Lexie Hull’s name.

Clark and Hull do share plenty of chemistry on the hardwood floor in the Indiana Fever team. With Cunningham joining the party for the upcoming WNBA season in May, the Indiana Fever squad will only keep getting more interesting.
