Spurs Urged to Make WILD Trade Deadline Move for 27 PPG Superstar

The Spurs have secured their future duo in the waning hours of the trade deadline after making a surprising move for De’Aaron Fox. With a talented point guard now ready to throw lobs to Victor Wembanyama, Gregg Popovich and the rest of the Spurs coaching staff are looking to make a late playoff push.

While San Antonio already looks like an exciting basketball team again, the trade mill isn’t stopping. With still one more day to go before the 2025 trade deadline fully closes, the team is being linked to another superstar that will immediately secure the team’s status as heavy favorites in the Western Conference.

Whether Suns fans want to believe it or not, Kevin Durant is being linked with an unlikely move to the Alamo.

Analyst believes Kevin Durant will help the Spurs become an instant title favorite

ClutchPoints’ Jedd Pagaduan threw an intriguing trade proposal that would rock the entire NBA if true: what if San Antonio threw some of their promising young players in a trade package that would bag them KD in return?

    He explains his logic:

Durant would be such an incredible fit on the Spurs; the trio of him, Victor Wembanyama, and De’Aaron Fox would be one of the scariest in the league, and given enough time to jell, they could very well become the team to beat. Sure, Durant might be 36 years of age. But he’s still Kevin Durant — a first ballot Hall of Famer who shows up night-in, night-out and gets buckets.

The move for Durant may be a win-now move, but it makes a lot of sense if you look at it from a win-now perspective. The future Hall of Fame forward averages 26.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.3 blocks a game for Phoenix.

Pairing the seven-foot forward next to Wemby would be a terrifying idea for non-San Antonio fans, and the failure of the Big Three experiment in Phoenix makes this potential trade viable. Sure, the team would have to give up many of their young talent, but getting Durant to secure another championship banner is one fans would be happy to make.

While it’s unlikely that Durant would move before the trade deadline, the prospect of playing with the most exciting big man in NBA history would make for a very intriguing offseason for both teams.
