The San Antonio Spurs are headed to Europe for the NBA Global Games on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers. The Spurs will play in Paris, France, in Victor Wembanyama‘s home crowd. Like the previous season, the league will have two games for the French crowd in the 2024-25 season. However, both games will be played by the Spurs and Pacers.
Former star Manu Ginobili posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account and updated his fans and followers. Ginobili serves as a special advisor for the San Antonio organization and is with the team as they head to Paris.

“Paris bound with the team! Beyond the famous landmarks, what hidden gems or local spots should I not miss?” Ginobili asked fans on X.
The former 57th pick teased fans with the food that was served to him following the team’s 128-107 loss.
“Fueling up with some great Argie flavors in Miami before heading to 🇫🇷. Let’s go! ✈️”

Ginobili played for 16 years in the NBA, totaling 23 years of playing professional basketball, including his time with other leagues. In San Antonio, he became a fan-favorite as he sacrificed his much-deserved starting spot to become the team’s sparkplug off the bench.
His sacrifice earned him four NBA championships with legendary players Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. In 2008, he earned the Sixth Man of the Year award after averaging 19.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Ginobili also earned two All-Star spots during his time and two All-NBA selections.
Overall, he averaged 13.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists. In 2022, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
Spurs fans had fun with Ginobili in suggesting places in Paris

Ginobili is curious to know among his fans where the hot places in Paris he should go to. His followers were quick to hop on X to suggest places he should check out as the team will have a game in the European city until Saturday.
“A not so much talked about landmark : fontaine saint Michel,” a fan took Ginobili’s question seriously.
“There’s this place called La Ratatouille that became popular from a film that came out in 2007 and I’d highly recommend,” another fan commented.
“There’s this really cool spot called the Eiffel Tower but it’s kinda niche,” one fan had some jokes for the former star.

“I bet you know a couple guys that could answer this better than us 😂” one fan said, referring to Ginobili’s former teammates, Parker and Boris Diaw.
“Ask Tony Parker:)”
“Wemby should know.”
