Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry is excited to see Damion Lee play on the court after being out for a long time due to his injury. Curry saw how his former teammate displayed his fresh plays for the Phoenix Suns against the Los Angeles Lakers at the NBA preseason match.

Curry shared his excitement on his Instagram account, posting a story with a photo of Lee shooting from downtown.

    “Welcome back!!!,” Curry said.

Lee, who once played for the Warriors for four seasons, is also Curry’s brother-in-law. Both gained championships together in 2022. However, Lee moved to the Suns the following season, where he had a rare injury in his right meniscus, which resulted in him being out for many games.

The former Louisville Cardinals played for three teams for six seasons. He is currently averaging 8.2 points, 1.4 assists, and 3.4 rebounds. In his recent preseason match against the Lakers, Lee scored ten points with four successful field goals, two of which were threes, in ten minutes.

Steph Curry begins to warm up in his preseason match

Steph Curry and the Warriors had recently played against the Los Angeles Clippers last Saturday. He played for fourteen minutes, scoring nine points with only two successful field goal attempts out of nine.

Curry had support from his teammates, mainly Lindy Waters III and Moses Moody, who rose for the team with double-digit points each. Ultimately, the Warriors won by a narrow point against the Clippers.

The Warriors would play four more preseason games before the start of the season proper on October 22. Two days later, they would have their first match against the Portland Trail Blazers.

Steph Curry and the Warriors are on a mission next season

After being out of the Playoffs for multiple seasons, Steph Curry aims to bounce back from the unfortunate previous season. Last August, he agreed to extend his contract for one year for the Warriors, determined to continue playing for the team despite the changing dynamics of the NBA.

Steph Curry would experience a new Warriors in the following season. During the offseason, his longtime partner, Klay Thompson, went to the Dallas Mavericks. The two-time NBA MVP would rely on his remaining teammates and many new talented players to gain more wins.

The former Davidson Wildcats, who played for the Warriors throughout his career, averaged 24.8 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.7 rebounds. He had gained four NBA championships and ten NBA All-Stars on the same team.

So far, Steph Curry has no plans to leave the Warriors, despite ongoing rumors that he will. For now, he will remain a solid part of his team until he ultimately chooses to switch teams or retire.
