Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry, found a defender in one content creator, in light of the backlash she has been facing over her statement on marriage and having children.
In a recent video, sports content creator Mariah Roise defended Ayesh Curry, wife of Steph Curry, from the backlash and negative comments she received over her recent statement. For Rose, Ayesha sits at a spot of public scrutiny where all of her words would be twisted to fit a certain narrative.

“I think the internet is committed to misunderstanding her. Ayesha Curry has the Travis Hunter’s wife effect,” Mariah said. “She’s getting that short of treatment. Anything she says is gonna get clipped up to fit a narrative.”
Rose added that people seem to want Ayesha to talk about her husband all the time, and lose self-identity entirely.
“What do you want her to do, throw a parade every time he is brought up?” she added. “Like if Steph doesn’t have a problem with it, why do you? … He seems to love the way she acts. I don’t think she is that male-centered…I get that…it doesn’t mean she doesn’t love Steph Curry.”
Ayesha Curry recently got backlash over her comments from a podcast guest appearance, where she admitted to originally not wanting to marry and have kids, and instead becoming a career woman as a long-term plan.
“No. So I didn’t want kids,” Ayesha said. “I didn’t want to get married,” Curry answered. “I thought I was going to be ‘career girl’ and that’s it.”

The comment immediately gained backlash from fans, pointing out how it could be disrespectful for Steph, with some even pointing out that the admission could be a subtle hint of deeper problems in their relationship.
