ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith is a male version of Kamala Harris. At least, that is what Jason Whitlock thinks in light of Smith’s declaration of intent to run for president in 2028.

In one of the recent episodes of his program “Fearless,” Jason Whitlock criticized Stephen A. Smith for his declaration of intention to run for the presidency and called him a male version of former Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris.

“I think Stephen A.’s making it clear, ‘I have no platform, I have no agenda, I’m going to do whatever my handlers tell me to do on every position,’ and he’s not someone with his own instincts,” Whitlock said.

“Obama believes in healthcare and changing the healthcare system, there was something he was trying to stand for and accomplish. With Stephen A., I don’t know, he’s like a male version of Kamala Harris because he’s just a reflection of the whole Democrat Party.”

Stephen A. Smith, in the past week, has publicly expressed his openness to running for president in 20282. He revealed that elected officials, pundits, and even his pastor have encouraged him to consider a bid, citing his potential to make a difference. While Smith has never desired to be a politician, he stated that he feels compelled to leave the door open for possibilities due to the overwhelming support.

Stephen A. Smith Calls Self “Damn Fool” Over Voting For Kamala Harris

Stephen A. Smith has expressed regret for voting for her in the 2024 election, calling himself a “damn fool” for supporting her candidacy. He criticized the Democratic Party’s decision to nominate Harris without a traditional primary process, pointing out her lack of voter resonance during the 2020 primaries.

Smith questioned how Harris, who dropped out of the 2020 race before reaching the Iowa caucus, became the party’s nominee, suggesting that her rise was more strategic than democratic.

Smith, in the past, has been vocal in his criticism of the Democratic Party, particularly regarding its perceived lack of direction and leadership. He has described the party as “rudderless,” emphasizing its failure to connect with voters on issues that matter most, such as economic concerns and trade policies.

Smith has also contrasted Harris’s campaign with Donald Trump’s, acknowledging that Trump resonated more with voters despite his legal troubles. He highlighted how Trump addressed voter concerns more effectively than Harris, whose campaign he felt lacked substance.

Despite criticism towards the Democratic Party, Stephen A. Smith has clarified in the past that he remains and “independent.”
