Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry continues to show that he’s one of the best players in the NBA. The league announced on Monday that Curry was selected as an All-Star starter for the Western Conference. It’s the 12th selection of his career, making him the 17th player to have at least 12 All-Star appearances.
He is joined by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Luka Doncic (Los Angeles Lakers), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets) and Victor Wembanyama (San Antonio Spurs). Curry is in his 17th year in the league, making him the most experienced player in the starting lineup.
Ahead of the Warriors’ game against the Miami Heat, coach Steve Kerr had high praise for the two-time MVP.

“I’m thrilled for him, I mean, it’s a huge honor,” Kerr said.
“I can’t think of anybody at that age playing better. I know Kareem (Abdul-Jabbar) played well late in his career. Obviously, LeBron (James). But I just can’t imagine anybody playing at a higher level at this age than Steph.

Stephen Curry’s wife had a message after the All-Star news
The All-Star news for Stephen Curry was a great way to start the week, especially for his family. After the NBA confirmed that Curry was a starter, his wife, Ayesha Curry, had a message for the Warriors star on Instagram.
Ayesha posted on her Instagram stories, congratulating her husband.
“My baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are so proud of you!” Ayesha wrote.
As he guides the Warriors to possibly contend for another NBA title, Curry has been a reliable All-Star. Fans will see the four-time champion in action on Feb. 15 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
