Stephen Curry is a shoe deal free agent after parting ways with Under Armour months ago. The Golden State Warriors superstar has been sporting different brands worn by fellow stars since then.

The latest he flaunted are those of Kyrie Irving when his team met Dallas Mavericks two days ago. He wore the ANTA lifestyle sneaker pre-game and the KAI 3 during the game.

Curry said he had to reach out to the Mavs star because he thought it was necessary as he sees the nine-time All-Star to be among those he deeply respect despite their lack of non-basketball connection.

Irving is yet to play a game this season. Mavs won that game, 123-115.
Stephen Curry pays tribute to Irving
Curry and Irving figured in three NBA finals battles. The latter moved to the Western Conference and they still find each other on different sides.
The two-time MVP said they have mutual respect each other.
“It’s nothing but mutual respect and admiration for what he’s done in his career. The battles that we’ve had, the deeper you get into it, you appreciate the fact that his talent kind of raised your level throughout the journey,” Curry said post game.

“We don’t get to spend that much time together, but there’s that mutual respect. At the All-Star Game, had an amazing conversation. I hit him up before tonight to make sure he was cool with me wearing his shoes, because I know he hasn’t had a chance to debut them himself on the court. He said the admiration goes both ways.”
