Klay Thompson has oddly become the player many NBA players love disrespecting. Even retired ones found it entertaining to comment on the Dallas Mavericks guard’s struggles and personal life. His long time former Stephen Curry does not like what he is seeing.

Thompson, who left the Golden State Warriors for the Mavs in 2024, got involved in a number of trash talking in the past weeks. First there was Ja Morant calling him a bum and he shut it down right away by giving the most savage response. Not too long after, he figured in a verbal exchange with an unknown Miami Heat player.
Then there was former NBA players Patrick Beverley and Jayson Williams talking smack of his girlfriend Megan Thee Stallion on television, referring to the pop star as the reason behind his shooting struggle. The four-time champion has to personally call out the two on Instagram page of their show.
“Referring to my GF as a ‘p****’ is so disgusting and disturbing,” Thompson commented on Instagram. “Especially from someone who played in the NBA . How would yall feel if I referred to your wives in such a way ? @patbev21”
Curry spoke with Anthony Slater about his friendship with his former Splash Brother and made sure to include the way he is being treated by people around the league.

“The idea that he is carrying the Warrior success no matter what jersey he has on, I do like that part of it,” Curry said in an interview with ESPN.
“But I don’t like people taking shots at him when he doesn’t have that coverage and he doesn’t have his guys with him.”
Klay Thompson fighting alone is odd
Draymond Green, another player that make up the core of the Golden State Warriors dynasty in mid-2010s, is also not a fan of colleagues coming after his former teammate.
What riles him up more is the fact that Klay had to go through this alone.

“That’s two instances in a row I saw him arguing by himself,” Green told ESPN. “What the f–k?”
Thompson’s shooting struggles continue although he found a different way of contributing as he was relegated as a reliever by Jason Kidd. He has scored in double digit in 9 of their last 10 games as the Mavs start to look good in playing team basketball.
