Stephen Curry’s political beliefs are as expressive as his exciting, three-point-chucking style of play. The point guard hasn’t been shy about expressing his disdain over former President and re-electionist Donald Trump.

While he shared the opinion of many that the attempt on Trumpt’s life at a recent rally, he doesn’t like the Republican to the point that he publicly said he would use his influence to campaign against him in the coming elections.

He’s also shown his disdain for Trump through the Whtie House visits. He and the Warriors have declined meeting Trump at the seat of American governance twice, which angered Trump.

Given his disdain for the 45th President of the United States, he may have been worried over how Joe Biden was performing as the presidential election was inching closer. However, when Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris to be his replacement, the future Hall of Famer was more than happy with the development.

Curry fielded various questions during his press conference ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games, and he had a detailed answer on his thoughts about Harris as Biden’s replacement.

Per Michael Chammas of The Age:

“It’s a very interesting time for our country, for sure,” the Golden State Warriors superstar said to the almost thousand-strong media contingent.

“In the fact that President Biden gave that endorsement, vice President Harris is primed to bring her energy to this campaign. Hopefully she’s on the ticket winning the election. It’s a big deal to say the least. She represents the Bay Area and is a big supporter of us. I’m going to give the energy right back to her.

“It’s a very monumental couple of months for our country and the direction we’re heading. Hoepfully this [is] our way to do our part to continue unifying the country. Sports brings a lot of people together. For her at this moment knowing what’s ahead, we’re all about positive energy and optimism given how divided our country is right now. I’m excited about the journey ahead for her.”

It will be interesting to see how Stephen Curry and the rest of his compatriots at Team USA will approach the coming elections. However, one thing’s clear.

While Curry is focused on bringing the Olympic gold back to US soil, he’ll be doing whatever he can to help Harris get into office.
