The Golden State Warriors have played without two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry in all of their last three games, but it appears that he is on track to return sooner rather than later.
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry nearing return to action

Curry could even end up seeing action this Monday night when the Dubs look to extend their win streak to four games in a showdown against the Washington Wizards at Capital One Arena.
“Looks good,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said while Curry was still on the court. “But it’s all about how the ankle feels after the workout tomorrow. So, we’ll see.”
Curry participated in segments of Friday’s practice in Houston but did not do any 5-on-5 work, Kerr said.

While there is no assurance that Curry is going to play in the Wizards game, Kerr’s update still brings optimism for Golden State, which enters Monday with a 5-1 record.
Even with Curry missing games, the Warriors have managed to keep their boat afloat, thanks in large part to the likes of Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga stepping up in his absence. Over the last three Warriors games, Hield has averaged 25.3 points while shooting 51.5 percent from behind the arc while Kuminga has put up 18.7 points on 51.4 field goal percentage.
Before his injury, Curry averaged 18.3 points, 6.7 assists, and 5.3 rebounds through three games.
If he gets ruled out for the Washington game, Curry’s next chance to play will be on Wednesday against the Boston Celtics in Beantown.
