Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant are two powerhouse NBA players, Curry is considered one of the greatest shooters of all time, while Durant is regarded as one of the greatest NBA players of all time.

Stephen Curry is in his 15th season, starting in 2009 with the Golden State Warriors, never leaving or trading to a different team.
Curry is a four-time NBA Championship winner (2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022) and a two-time season MVP winner from 2014 to 2016.

Kevin Durant is in his 17th season with the NBA, starting in 2007 with the Seattle SuperSonics who later changed their name and city to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He also played for the Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, and currently the Phoenix Suns.

Durant is a two-time NBA Championship and season MVP winner from 2017 to 2018.
Into the Numbers
In a regular season, Curry averages 24.7 points, 4.7, and 6.4 assists per game. Accumulating over 24,400 points in 993 games in the NBA. Curry has a total of 4,685 rebounds and 6,354 assists.
Kevin Durant in a regular NBA season averages 27.3 points, 7 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. In 1,096 games he has over 29,800 points in his career so far. Durant also has a total of 7,677 rebounds and 4,789 assists.

How do Curry and Durant Rank?
Back in 2020, the NBA ranked the top 74 players of all time, Kevin Durant coming in at 14 was edged out by Curry who was ranked 13th.
Currently, the NBA has a list of the top 100 players from the 2024-2025 season, unlike in 2020, Durant is placed in 7th while Curry trails in at 8th.

Among the top 50 NBA all-time scoring leaders (career-per-game average in the regular season) Durant places in 6th, ahead of Lebron James with 27 points per game. Stephen Curry comes in 19th place, ahead of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 24.6 points per game.
Curry makes the top 50 NBA all-time assist leaders (career totals in the regular season) standing at 34th place, however, Durant doesn’t place in the top 50 for total assists.
For NBA all-time scoring leaders (career totals in the regular season,) Durant places in the top ten at number eight in front of Shaquille O’Neal who has over 28,500 points. Placing at 28 is Curry who just edges out DeMar DeRozan from the Sacramento Kings.

In a regular season, Durant has better averages in points, rebounds, and blocks while Curry has better averages in assists and steals.
