Draymond Green was once Lebron James fierce rivals during the heydays of the Golden State Warriors-Cleveland Cavaliers rivalry in mid 2010s but he is now King James’ most staunch supporter that he is ready to defend Bron even if it involves putting down his own coach.

Green was present in internet celebrity Kai Cenat’s stream and joined the discussion on who should be the Greatest of All Time in the NBA. He argued that Michael Jordan is not above Lebron saying he can’t uplift a bad team the way the latter does.
To better prove a point, he used undrafted Matthew Dellavedova who managed to have a long NBA career playing alongside King James. He raised his point further by saying Delly’s equivalent in MJ’s team is his own coach Steve Kerr.
“That guy stinks.” Green said about Dellavedova.
“MJ had Pippen, Bron was winning games with Matthew Delladova.. that guy STINKS no disrespect, MJ’s equivalent to Matthew Delledova as a teammate was probably Steve Kerr.”
Draymond Green explains why LeBron James will always be better than Michael Jordan to Tylil and Kai Cenat:

Comparing Delly and Kerr’s career, the latter had a longer one. However, Green might have a point as his coach did not average double digits in scoring at all in his 16 seasons in the NBA.
They are similar in a way that they are both great role players.
Draymond Green gives props to another Lebron teammate
One can say that Cavaliers evolved into a legit contender when they got JR Smith in 2015 as their main shooting guard. He hit shots for them in the playoffs and scored 10+ points in five of their seven games in the 2016 NBA finals that they won.
However, people can’t forget his 2017 Finals brainfart when he did not shoot what could have been a game-winner thinking they were up in that point. It could have changed the trajectory of that series with Warriors. Instead, it resulted into a 0-4 sweep by Golden State.
Green gave props to Smith and how he turned around the Cavs franchise.

“As talented as he was, people threw the towel in on him,” he said in the show.
“It’s not just JR, though. If you look at some of the guys he had to lead. JR had talent, no question, but people threw the towel in on him, though. When people throw the towel in on you in this league, it’s over. People threw the towel in on JR, and Bron was like, ‘Nah, this man can shoot and he can defend, I can do something with that.’”
