Steve Kerr showed his rash side to Steph Curry Wednesday as the Golden State Warriors took on the Boston Celtics. In the second quarter of the game, Curry missed a cue which led to a 3 for the Celtics. Kerr could be seen yelling at Curry, which is a rare scene considering the player’s top performances in the league.
Despite Curry’s silly fault in the game, the Golden State Warriors went on to win the game with a final score of 118-112. Steph Curry proved his consistency in the team, putting up 27 points, along with seven rebounds and nine assists. Curry was the team’s leader in all three areas, while other players like Andrew Wiggins and Buddy Hield considerably performed as well.
Kerr openly expressed his dissatisfaction at Curry’s mistake, but did not show any regret for his actions. In fact, the coach later came out and remarked that one of the best advantages of working with the point guard is that the player lets his coach yell at him despite his stardom, accepting his mistake and learning from it.
“The beauty of Steph is that I can yell at him,” Kerr said. “He lets me yell at him, which sets the tone for the rest of them. And I yelled at him … It was a five-point swing. They came down and hit a 3 and he accepted it and he knew it.”

This is of course not a one-way street for Steve Kerr, with Steph Curry also pointing out that he wants to be coached just like everyone else. In reference to the mistake he made against the Celtics, the basketball legend said that he knew that it was a dumb play, which was avoidable to every extent.
“I want to be coached just like everybody else,” Curry said. “So I don’t get sensitive about it, knowing that it’s a dumb play, especially (when) it led to a 3 on the other end. It’s avoidable and we have to be able to take care of possessions.”
Coach Kerr has changed Golden State’s strategy quite effectively to their advantage, refusing to repeat their style of play from six or so seasons ago. In his pattern of coaching, Kerr relies on players like Curry and Draymond Green to stay away from taking too many risky plays. On the other hand, these important players are responsible for ball-handling and initiating.

Steve Kerr Booed For Not Playing Jayson Tatum Enough In Olympics
Steve Kerr, who coaches the Golden State Warriors and the US national team, was booed on Wednesday by Celtics fans. This was primarily because Boston player Jayson Tatum was not played enough in this year’s Paris Olympics.
After the starting lineup for the Golden State Warriors was introduced, coach Kerr was loudly booed by fans who strongly felt for Tatum. Tatum did not play against Serbia in a crucial game, and this was not well-received by fans and critics alike. However, Kerr did not express his regret at the decision, although remarking that the decision was not a fun one to make.
