Miami Heat’s Big 3 from 2010 will go down as one of the most historic trios ever in the NBA, for better or for worst. The Decision made by Lebron James to join forces with Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade with the Heat remains a hot topic even after it was dismantled in 2014.

The trio got together again as they were all recipients in this year’s Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for their participation in the 2008 USA National Men’s Basketball team also known as the Redeem Team.
Sue Bird, who was a fellow inductee, made sure they revisit their decision when she paid tribute to them and thanked the organization for honoring her contributions as part of the Seattle Storm.
“I remember that Olympics well,” Bird started.
“It was a great Olympics. Both teams hanging out, winning gold. I mean, it was kind of weird how LeBron, Chris, and Dwyane kept yapping about three-year deals with a player option, and where do you want to take your talents? Where do you want to take your talents? I don’t know. I tuned it out.”

She ended her trolling by pointing to Heat’s owner Mike Arison who was honored during the event.
“I’m sure Micky could probably tell you guys about that later.”
James, Wade, and Bosh all just laughed her jokes off.
Miami Heat’s glowing HoF line up
The Big 3 is not the only ones who made or crafted Heat’s history. Another person responsible for their decorated franchise is team owner Arison who was part of the 2025 class.
“Our plan was simple. Do right by South Florida and build a winner,” the billionaire said in his speech.
“The first thing I did was join forces with Pat Riley. A proven winner, a champion and one of the greatest winners in NBA history.”

With Arison’s inclusion, the Florida-based team now has 11 people in the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
He and the Big 3 joined former minority owner Billy Cunningham (1986) and team president Pat Riley (2008), and players Bob McAdoo (2000), Gary Payton (2013), Alonzo Mourning (2014), Shaquille O’Neal (2016), Ray Allen (2018), and Tim Hardaway (2022).
