The Phoenix Suns couldn’t secure a win over the Miami Heat on Sunday. The team suffered a 111-102 loss against the Heat, dropping to 27-19. It’s a crucial stretch of games for Phoenix, since their best players are both down with injuries. Neither Devin Booker nor Jalen Green played against the Heat.
Booker has been ruled out for at least a week due to a right ankle sprain. The star guard injured his foot on Friday’s 110-103 loss to the Atlanta Hawks when he stepped on the foot of Onyeka Okongwu. Green, on the other hand, played only four minutes against the Hawks. He reportedly experienced tightness on his right hamstring.
As a precautionary move, the Suns decided not to play the athletic guard against the Heat.

In the second quarter, Suns’ Grayson Allen went after a loose ball. The Heat’s Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kasparas Jakucionis tried to make a play for it as well. Unfortunately for Allen, Jakucionis landed on his left leg trying to go after the ball.
Allen held his foot for some time and was fortunate that it wasn’t anything serious. He stayed and finished the game. After the play, former NBA player Eddie Johnson had a strong reaction to what the Heat player did.
“You know how I feel about that,” the former Suns player said. “I don’t even want your ‘Im sorry.’ That’s a dangerous play. I’d slap him. They didn’t teach you that at Illinois”
The Heat had the last laugh with their win.
Allen was critical of his struggles after the Suns’ loss
The Suns needed Grayson Allen’s shooting touch against the Heat. However, he struggled against the East team and went 1-for-11 from deep. He was critical of his performance after the competition.
“It’s a little more tough. Not a lot of catch-and-shoots, but probably eight of them felt good leaving my hands… Definitely should’ve made more than one of them,” Allen said.
Phoenix looks to bounce back on Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets.
