The TCU women’s basketball team showcased an impressive performance in the Maggie Dixon Classic, decisively defeating Louisiana Tech with a score of 92-41. This victory marked a significant rebound for the 12th-ranked Horned Frogs, who were looking to bounce back after a tough loss to South Carolina just a week prior. Led by standout Hailey Van Lith, the Horned Frogs dominated the game from the outset.

In an explosive first half, the Horned Frogs embarked on a remarkable 34-2 run, leaving Louisiana Tech struggling to keep pace. Despite an initial lead from the Lady Techsters, the Horned Frogs’ relentless offense and tight defense quickly shifted the momentum. Madison Conner also made a significant impact off the bench, contributing 18 points and hitting four three-pointers, which helped her reach the 1,000-point milestone in her career. The Horned Frogs’ defensive efforts were led by Agnes Emma-Nnopu, who had five steals and ten rebounds, solidifying her role as a key player on both ends of the court.

Van Lith led No. 12 TCU to a commanding victory over Louisiana Tech, scoring 23 points on an impressive shooting performance. This win marked the Horned Frogs’ eighth consecutive home victory this season, bouncing back from a recent loss to South Carolina.

With this victory, TCU improved to 10-1 on the season and climbed to No. 7 in the NCAA NET rankings. The team looks forward to continuing their strong performance as they prepare for their next matchup against Samford.
