Similar to his late-game performance against South Sudan, Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James has once again captured everyone’s attention by leading Team USA to a definite win against Germany. Among those who have given the King his flowers is no other than Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey.
Team USA’s pre-Olympic exhibition tour concluded with a thrilling matchup against the reigning World Champions, Germany, in London. The game served as a final showcase for the American squad before they set their sights on defending their Olympic title in Paris 2024.

The clash was a highly anticipated rematch of the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup semi-final, where Germany had pulled off a stunning upset over the star-studded USA team. This time, however, the Americans were determined to avenge their previous loss and demonstrate their readiness for the upcoming Olympic challenge.
Led by James, Team USA secured a hard-fought 92-88 victory over Germany. The four-time NBA champion stepped up when it mattered most, contributing 20 points, six rebounds, and four assists to guide his team to success.
The game was a testament to the USA’s growth and resilience since their previous encounter with Germany. The team’s defensive intensity, anchored by the likes of Joel Embiid, Bam Adebayo, and Anthony Davis, was a key factor in their triumph, as they recorded an impressive seven blocks throughout the contest.
Philadelphia 76ers’ Tyrese Maxey Reacts To LeBron James’ Team USA Performance Against Germany

After the final exhibition game, various personalities gave their take on Team USA’s win over Germany and James’ part in the victory. Among those who have reacted is Sixers All-Star guard Tyrese Maxey, as seen in a tweet he posted on his official X account.
“BRON SO NICE. 😂” Maxey tweeted.
Even if he has played for more than two decades in the NBA, James is still playing at an elite level for the Lakers. Just last season, the King averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists in 71 games during that period.

With the exhibition games now over, fans can look forward to James and Team USA’s performance in the Paris Olympics. For sure, Maxey will stay tuned to see if the United States can bring home the gold once again.
