Several NBA analysts think the arrival of Tyler Herro has affected negatively the performances of two players – Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kel’el Ware. Add Andrew Wiggins to that list, at least according to Jeff Teague.

The one-time NBA champion, who makes hot take from time to time, thought Wiggins’ role with the team is diminishing following the return of All-Star Herro who did not star the season with an ankle injury. He has played six games so far and is playing the most minutes by average since then.
Another reason is the arrival of Norman Powell last the summer. Powell is currently the team’s top scorer with 24.6 points per game.
Jeff Teague says Andrew Wiggins doesn’t fit anymore with a fully Heat team
“With Herro and Powell, he don’t fit now. A featured Wiggins is a better one… Wiggs is now floating again. A floating Wiggs? He gonna float. I just know Tyler Herro out there to get buckets and Powell is… pic.twitter.com/2Um3BeGAhf
Teague has made ridiculous comments before and some comments think this take is baseless.

These boys say anything for clicks
Wiggs the best perimeter defender — if you trade him cool, who gone clamp Herro? Norm? Depend on Davion ? 😂

Andrew Wiggins’ numbers say otherwise
What do the facts say about Wiggins? He is not underperforming. He missed three straight games starting on November 21 against the Chicago Bulls but he’s been playing like did not miss a beat.
He scored in double digits in the last seven games and is averaging 17 points per game, higher than his current season averages.

His best game was on November 29 against the Detroit Pistons when he scored 31 points. Herro and Powell had good scoring performance in that game, too, pouring in 24 and 28, respectively. However, the team lost fell by just one possession, ending their six-game winning streak.
Talks of drama in the Heat camp is stemming from the current team struggle. They have lost five straight games and are 1-6 in the last seven.
