The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly expressed interest to look for a point guard in the market but while they are still working on it, coach Chris Finch decided to let his star scorer Anthony Edwards give it a try.

The Wolves still has Mike Conley but his age and limitations are giving them a hard time. They tried Donte Divincenzo at the start of the season but the results are hardly there for them.
Edwards had another shot at the point position but team results are not there for him. Minnesota lost their third straight, the last one against the Oklahoma City Thunder. They recorded total 49 turnovers in those.
The three-game span turnover is well within their averages but the three-time All-Star still feels bad about it. He believes better playmaking starts with him.

“I was supposed to get the rock, kinda lazy trying to get the ball, couldn’t get the ball,” Edwards told reporters after their loss to Thunder.
“That’s on me. I can’t allow us to turn the ball over.”

Finch has the same sentiment about possessions. He said they need to be more efficient.
“We’ve got to go back and get the ball,” he said.
“We allowed them to take us out of what we wanted to do too easily in that situation. That’s really it.”
Edwards does not back down from the challenge. He knows what to do. He has the desire to get to the next level.

“With no designated point guard, I think I’ve got to be the one to bring the ball up – it’s just that simple – so we don’t turn it over,” he said. “Get us into an action, get my teammates shots and we’ll be alright.
“I’m feeling good. I’ve just got to get used to being a point guard, getting to get the rock. … Just to take the pressure off my teammates.”
Next for the Timberwolves are the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
