Several Minnesota Timberwolves insiders reported that Anthony Edwards has already made it a mission this offseason to elevate his game and reach the level of Luka Doncic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Both have already reached the NBA finals with the latter winning it all last season. They are also MVP award contenders.
Edwards is specifically honing his offense with his latest lesson coming from no other than NBA great Michael Jordan. He said he did training to emulate MJ’s famous low post moves.

Edwards is only 24 years old. Doncic is 26 while SGA is 27. Although he hasn’t reached the level these two guys are already in, he is no doubt the Wolves’ franchise player. The Minnesota star’s scoring has also been improving steadily.
Anthony Edwards not bullish about DPOY
All the NBA greats are those who can play on both ends. Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Tim Duncan, and Hakeem Olajuwon have been named to the All Defensive Team at least once.
For now, Edwards does not think he can win the Defensive Player of the Year as he believes that it is a job his two teammates do well.

One of the teammates he was talking about is Rudy Gobert who has been named DPOY four times already. Another Wolves that play top level defense is Jaden McDaniels. Donte Divincenzo is another who can play top notch defending.
