The 2026 All-Star Game is happening in three days, and the closer it gets, the more people believe there are players who should have made it but didn’t. Add Julius Randle of the Minnesota Timberwolves to that list.
The 31-year-old forward had one of his best games this season when he scored 41 points to lead his team to a victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. He also added seven rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

The Wolves have only one representative in Sunday’s All-Star Game: Anthony Edwards, who many thought should have been a starter.
Randle thinks he should have joined his teammate in the festivities.
“I felt like I should’ve been there. Over the course of my career, I’ve learned to focus on things I can control,” he said.
The 41 points are his career high so far while wearing a Wolves jersey.

Julius Randle is focused on winning games
Randle said he is moving on and is now focused on helping his team win games.
“We’ve got a great team here that can compete at the highest level,” he continued. “That’s what I’m choosing to direct my focus on. It is what it is. We’ll figure it out, I guess. I can use that as a little motivation for the rest of the year.”
Seven teams have two All-Stars each for 2026. The Detroit Pistons, the East’s No. 1 team, have Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren. The Toronto Raptors, who have a worse record than the Wolves, will send Scottie Barnes and Brandon Ingram, who replaced Stephen Curry. The New York Knicks have Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson.

In the Western Conference, the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder have Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (injured) and Chet Holmgren, while the Denver Nuggets have Nikola Jokić and first-time All-Star Jamal Murray. The Los Angeles Lakers are represented by LeBron James and Luka Dončić. The Houston Rockets got Kevin Durant and Alperen Sengun (replacement).
