Toronto Raptors swingman Brandon Ingram gave a huge shoutout to his girlfriend, GloRilla, after he was named to the NBA All-Star team for the second time in his 10-year career.
Ingram was named as the replacement for the injured Stephen Curry for this weekend after averaging 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists this season while leading the Toronto Raptors to the fifth seed in the East. He’ll be added to the USA Stripes roster, while his teammate Scottie Barnes is on the USA Stars.
“Shoutout to my girl because she’ll be mad if I don’t shoutout her. All the attitude that I bring her every single day, her work ethic pushes me to be better too,” Ingram said via William Lou on X (formerly known as Twitter). “So, I wanna thank all those people, everybody who believed in me.”
“It was definitely one of my goals, to make All-Star. After the summer that I had, coming into the season, I knew it was going to be some time where I was going to be a little bit rusty,” he added. “I didn’t count on making All-Star. But I knew still, coming off of injury, I was one of the better players in the league. I knew I had a chance.”

Toronto Raptors News: Darko Rajakovic names Brandon Ingram’s most underrated trait this season
Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic always knew about Brandon Ingram’s talent, so he wasn’t surprised when Ingram was recently named to the All-Star team. During a recent interview, Rajakovic made sure to praise Ingram for his work ethic and durability this campaign.
“I think that from the moment he came to our team, the amount of work and preparation (he put in), he had a really hard summer with lot of recovery, lot of like, boring exercises and stuff to get him healthy, to get him on the floor,” Rajakovic said of Ingram via Sportsnet’s Michael Grange. “And that he has (missed just two games) is just testament to all the amount of work that he put in.”
“I love the decision of coming to Toronto. This has expanded my game more, especially on the defensive end,” Ingram said. “Darko been holding me accountable to be better. I’ve been able to show what I can do, and I think I’m evolving.”
