Toronto Raptors fans expressed their dissatisfaction of Jakob Poeltl because of his recent drop offs and looks like the front office heard them as insiders revealed they are looking at two possible players that could instantly be their starting centers.

Two centers from the Western Conference are reportedly under the Raptors’ radar according to NBA insider Jake Fisher. This, however, will only happen if the Raptors remain competitive by the time the trade deadline comes.
“The business Toronto is ultimately willing to conduct before the February trade buzzer will likely come down to how good the 16-11 Raptors still are as that deadline draws closer,” he wrote on X.
“Toronto, though, has sent out some early signals that it hopes to upgrade its frontcourt. Sources with knowledge of the Raptors’ thinking have identified them as a team with interest in Domantas Sabonis as well as [Anthony] Davis.”

Toronto Raptors chances to land star center
Both Davis and Sabonis have been to All-Star multiple times. They remain good if ever they are healthy.
What are the chances of Raptors landing anyone of them?
Mavericks have made it known that they will not shop Davis unless they get a valuable return. They are not willing to let him go despite his massive contract. Raptors might not have the asset to appease the Mavs.
As for Sabonis, the Kings are terrible this season and them looking forward to the next seasons by stacking up their draft picks might me the better route.

Fisher said they will only go for the trade if they remain competitive. That part is harder to answer. They are struggling after great November. This all has to do with injuries to key players, most especially RJ Barrett.
Currently, they are third in the Eastern Conference and are 4-6 in their last 10. Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes carry the scoring load for them but they are sometimes still not enough.
