Jose Alvarado does not known the concept of adjusting to a new team. Three games in, he’s already a favorite among New York Knicks fans. The Knicks got back to winning ways after losing a close one against the Indiana Pacers and huge part of the victory is the guard who they traded for with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The energetic guard’s defense and sneaky defense was on full display as he finished the game with four assists and five steals. The more impressive part of his Wednesday night is his 26 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the three-point line.
His teammate Karl-Anthony Towns can’t help but look back at moment Alvarado had when they were opponents from four years ago. Towns was still part of the Minnesota Timberwolves and his then teammate D’Angelo Russell decided to trash talk the Grand Theft Alvarado.
ESPN posted a highlight of Alvarado’s big game on Instagram and KAT was there to remind Russell. He even tagged his friend in the comments section.
“YES HE CAN SHOOT @dloading,” the All-Star wrote.
Mike Brown comments on Jose Alvarado
Alvarado’s impact play has his coach Mike Brown impressed. He thought the guard affected the game in many ways.
“He was really, really good for us,” Brown told reporters after the game.
“He ignited us in many different ways.”

It was not just in the statsheet where Alvarado has the Knicks community feeling ecstatic. Many thought he is bringing the toughness the team needs. Josh Hart said that’s what they signed him for.
“That’s what we want from him. Obviously that toughness, ability to help us get organized, ability to knock down shots. And defensively bring energy, bring physicality, get in the passing lanes, those kinds of things. That’s why he’s here.”
