Trae Young has returned for the Atlanta Hawks but that results are not going their way once he suited up. It did not help, too, that they finally won a game after seven tries and he was in plain clothes, making trade rumors sound louder.

He has been in trade rumors since the start of the season, ever since he and the Hawks decided to not agree to a contract. However, with things going ugly for them in the past weeks, many thought it is time for them to move on.
Many thought, too, that they have found a new franchise player in Jalen Johnson who has been balling since the start of the season and was the main reason behind their successful November.

That’s not going to happen according an analyst. The main reason is that he has the most important backer despite his shortcoming. Tony Ressler, the Hawks owner himself.
“News flash, the owner loves him. He’s not going anywhere. When the owner loves you and the owner’s son loves you, Trae Young is not going anywhere,” former NBA player and three-time champion Stacey King said on his Gimme The Hot Sauce Podcast.
Trae Young has minimal market
Although the Hawks rack up losses, Young’s numbers are not that bad. He is averaging double double, 20.8 points and 10 assists.
His worst game was against the New York Knicks when he scored just 9 points.
Many teams could still use those, correct? Sam Amick of The Athletic revealed his market is minimal at the moment.

“League sources say the Hawks, who saw so many promising signs during that Young-less stretch, are more open to discussing deals for him than ever,” Amick wrote.
“Yet in the absence of clarity regarding legitimate suitors, and with league sources indicating that Young’s market is widely considered minimal, it remains entirely possible that the Hawks will have to handle his situation in the summertime.”
