Washington Spirits star Trinity Rodman recently opened up on social media about her honest feelings about people mentioning her father, Dennis Rodman, and constantly associating her with the former NBA legend.
Trinity Rodman was recently spotted showing support for her boyfriend, tennis star Ben Shelton. Shelton is currently competing at Wimbledon, and Trinity is all-in on her support. However, the soccer star opened up about her experience with people constantly mentioning his father, Dennis Rodman, around her.
“For those who don’t know… my name is TRINITY not Tiffany,” Trinity wrote on her Instagram story.
“Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as his support system, which includes his dad. My dad’s not even in MY life no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine. It’s him and his loved ones’ moment. Thank you.”
This was nto the first time that Trinity Rodman had spoken about her state of relationship with estranged father Dennis Rodman. Even Dennis himself had opened up about his feelings towards her daughter, and her regret and frustrations for not being part of her life.
What is The State of Trinity Rodman’s Relationship to her father?
Trinity Rodman, one of the biggest stars in women’s soccer in the US, has long made it clear to the public that her success in sports is her own, and not a reflection of the career of her father, Dennis Rodman, in any way.
The 22-year-old forward for the Washington Spirits and the US National Women’s Team for soccer frequently expressed her desire to separate her public identity from her father, former NBA star and rebounding legend Dennis Rodman.
In a podcast interview in December 2024, Trinity opened up about the state of her relationship with her father. While she acknowledges him as her biological father, she made it clear that the relationship ends there.
“And even at that game, I don’t think that was for me,” Trinity said during an episode of the “Call Me Daddy” podcast. “I think he wanted to have a good conscience and then be like, ‘Headline: Dennis Rodman showed up to his daughter’s game.’ He’s not a dad. Maybe by blood but nothing else.”

Trinity Rodman has a younger brother, DJ. They were born to Dennis and his then-wife, Michelle Moyer. However, the couple went through a divorce early on in their childhood, and Dennis has since then been an absent father figure.
