Nikola Jokic continues to miss games for the Denver Nuggets but his absence are hardly felt because the team still pull off miraculous victories. In the last one, his teammate had to turn into him. Jamal Murray has always been the second best player for them and against the Boston Celtics, he transformed himself into the world’s best.

Murray dished out 17 assists in the victory over the Celtics who before the game was the hottest in the league with their four straight wins. They were also 8-1 in their last nine games dating back to December 20.

The Nuggets guard’s previous career high in dimes is 16 and it happened just two three days ago when they were beaten by the Brooklyn Nets.

The internet is united in branding him a momentary Joker.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m looking at the box score and it appears that Jamal Murray had more assists than the entire Boston Celtics tonight. @DNVR_Nuggets pic.twitter.com/XCHxp0Jx3N

Jamal Murray wants to be an All-Star

Murray’s latest performances only strengthened his case to get his first All-Star nod, something he was previously uninterested.

He changed his tunes about the recognition. He wants to be in the ASG now and dream of achieving some more. However, clarifies that it is not his priority.

“Obviously, I’d love to be an All-Star, all-NBA, scoring champ, MVP. I want to be all of them, right?,” Murray said according to a post by Michael Grange of Sportsnet.

“But winning matters … if we win a championship but I don’t make an All-star … we win a championship …. that’s my mindset.”
