Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro are the leaders now following the en of the Jimmy Butler era in the Miami Heat last season. The team has started the season on a good note compared to before and both guys think it is because the vibes are better now within the organization.

The Heat reached the playoffs last year (swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round) but the build up to it was unideal. They had to deal with the off court drama concerning their star Jimmy Butler who was eventually traded to the Golden State Warriors for Andrew Wiggins and some picks.
Herro and Adebayo sat down for a podcast through the Miami Heat Youtube channel and both players revealed that everyone on the team is in a good mod overall.
“Were much lighter, it’s a much lighter vibe and energy. We’re having fun and enjoying each other,” Herro told his teammate.

Adebayo agreed and added that is because coach Erik Spoelstra is also having fun now.
“It starts with our coach. Spo is actually having fun this year. Through the years of us knowing Spo, this year he’s actually enjoying himself.”
Bam Adebayo says Heat has more work to do
The podcast was reportedly recorded during the Heat’s winning streak in November. That phase put them in the Top 4 of the Eastern Conference but now, they are back struggling. They are 2-2 on their last four.
Their latest loss was against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday and Adebayo said they have hole to dig out of from with their current form.

“I feel like for us we just have to really concentrate,” said Adebayo who struggled with just 7 points and had 11 rebounds in the most recent loss.
“We’ve gotten to this weird time in the season where it just feels like shots aren’t falling … We just have to dig our way through that.”
They had a rest day during a jam-packed 12-game NBA Wednesday and will return to action tomorrow against the Chicago Bulls.
