Indiana opened the WNBA semifinal series by beating the top-seeded Las Vegas Aces 89-73 in Game 1. Guard Kelsey Mitchell led the charge, pouring in a playoff-career high 34 points on 52.2 percent shooting, including 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.
After seeing their double-digit lead shrink to three late in the third quarter, the Fever closed out the period on an 11-0 run to seize control. The game finished with the Fevrer shooting at 50% from the fieled, while the Aces only did with 40.8%.
A’ja Wilson, fresh off her fourth MVP honor, was held to 16 points and 13 rebounds on 27.3 percent shooting. The upset sets the stage for Game 2 as both teams look to grab the early edge in the best-of-five series.
Tyrese Haliburton Shares How He Uses NBA 2K26 Not Just For Gaming
Tyrese Haliburton says he leans on NBA 2K26 not just for fun but as a virtual classroom to sharpen his basketball instincts. The Indiana Pacers point guard revealed that he already spent hours studying player tendencies and lineup fits.

Beyond casual play, Haliburton taps into MyGM and MyNBA modes to simulate trades and roster upgrades, calling himself a “special talent” as the team’s virtual general manager. He loads prospective teammates into his Pacers roster, gauges their hot spots and defensive strengths, then watches projected standings to forecast how real-world moves could shift the balance of power in the Eastern Conference.
“I definitely have done that,” Haliburton said. “I’ve done that with, like, putting players on the team before they get to the team. Let me see his tendencies, let me see his hot spots, like how they fit with me. I do like MyGM and like MyNBA, simulating through the year to see, all right, if this guy was on our team, what does 2K think we would finish in the standings and stuff like that.”
“So that’s always fun,” he added. “I try to use the game to the best of my ability to learn as much as I can and also have fun with it.”

Facing an Achilles injury that threatens to sideline him for the entire 2025-26 season, Tyrese Haliburton views 2K as a critical tool for “mental reps” while he rehabs.
