Dan Hurley and the UConn basketball remain hungry for success. After winning back-to-back national titles, the UConn Huskies are on a mission to become the first program in decades to win three in a row national championships.

Just before UConn’s season opener for the 2024-25 college basketball campaign, Hurley made a guest appearance on the “Pat McAfee Show,” the eponymous show by the former Indianapolis Colts punter, and expressed his team’s desire not just to win the national title but everything there is to be won.
“Yeah I think when you’ve done what we’ve done and you just you can’t imagine a season ending any other way but but being the champs you know so for us going into going into the season, there’s five different opportunities for us to win championships. We play in Maui you know we got the Big East regular season we got the Big East Conference Tournament at MSG. We got the regional and we’ve got the the national championship, so our mindset going in is we want to go five for five with the championships that’s what you come to UConn.”

Hurley has done an incredible job in Storrs, as he’s made the Huskies a legitimate national powerhouse again. UConn basketball did not make it to the Big Dance in his first two seasons with the team, but since then, the Huskies have booked a March Madness spot in four years in a row.
UConn will kick off their 2024-25 schedule this Wednesday against the Sacred Heart Pioneers at Gampel Pavilion before hosting the New Hampshire Wildcats on Saturday.
