Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy strongly believes that Keyonte George deserves to be recognized as one of the top point guards in the Western Conference today.
During the Utah Jazz’s 143-135 home defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers, the 22-year-old floor general had 34 points, four rebounds, eight assists, and five three-pointers on 9-for-20 shooting from the field and 11-for-12 shooting from the free throw line in 39 minutes of action.
“I think it’s time that everybody stops trying to give reasons why Keyonte is playing well… Like, he’s pretty f***ing good. And I think it’s time that everybody gives him some respect,” Hardy said of George via Salt Lake Tribune’s Andy Larsen.
The Utah Jazz were without top scorer Lauri Markkanen due to a right groin injury. The team fought until the end before succumbing to the scoring onslaught from Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

Utah Jazz News: Isaiah Collier also drew praise from Will Hardy after steady performance vs. Los Angeles Lakers
Utah Jazz head coach Will Hardy also made sure to give Isaiah Collier his flowers for his double-double performance vs. the Los Angeles Lakers. The second-year pro had 18 points and 13 assists on 6-for-12 shooting in 28 minutes.
“It’s one of (Isaiah’s) best games that I’ve seen him play,” Hardy said of Collier. “I think he’s continuing to apply pressure on the paint for our team. He’s doing such a good job of playing off two feet. He’s making a lot of really good decisions for us.”
“The main thing is going out there to compete honestly,” Collier said. “We know Lauri is a big piece, but you have to take advantage of your opportunity. Just going out there, competing, playing as hard as we can.”
