Victor Wembanyama has been a force to be reckoned with this season. With his incredible performances so far, he will likely get the opportunity to play in his first All-Star game.
Many believe Wemby could go down as one of the all-time greats in the NBA. Some even went as far as to say he could be the new face of the league when LeBron James finally calls it quits.
In a recent sit-down interview with ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Wembanyama discussed his and the NBA’s future. Windhorst asked Wemby how he would feel about becoming the next face of the league if given the opportunity.
“I’d embrace it for sure, but I also keep in mind that this is not the way to approach things,” Victor Wembanyama said. “Thinking about becoming the greatest of all time, this is not the way to approach things. For me, the way I approach things is making sure I’m the guy in the NBA today that works the hardest.”

The Milwaukee Bucks star has been undeniable this season, averaging 24.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 4.0 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game. He is shooting 47.7% from the field including 35.4% from beyond the arc.

If Wemby maintains his blocking average above 4.0 until the end of the season, he will be the first-ever NBA player to achieve that feat this century and will be the first since Dikembe Mutombo during the 1995-96 NBA season.
