Desmond Bane, fined by the NBA and all, is embracing his villain persona and this time, his target was Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs. The Orlando Magic forward got people at the Frost Bank Center shouting expletives at him for shoving their franchise during one play in the third quarter.

Bane was assessed a flagrant 1 foul and Spurs ended up with the victory.
Physicality is not new to Wemby. He was previously asked about how he handles it and he said he is preparing differently.
He has the same approach about the Magic on Sunday. He even bluntly said that to him, their opponents were not about playing hoops at all.
“I know they do that because they don’t want to play the game, they don’t want to play a basketball game,” Wembanyama said.

“Our job on offense is to make it a basketball game, so that’s how we’re going to beat them. It’s just the game, it’s like this every night.”
Victor Wembanyama almost did not play
Wembanyama could have expressed this physicality as Spurs initially had him as questionable for the Magic game. They played and lost to the Charlotte Hornets less than 24 hours before.
The French superstar player struggled in that loss, getting contented to just 16 points in 31 minutes. This performance came shortly after his inspiring performance in win over Houston Rockets.

He played two more minutes on Sunday but he was more productive as he finished with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and 5 blocks.
The two-time All-Star said they can’t make any excuses whenever they are losing.
“We have to answer to our responsibility. We actually discussed it before that there’s no excuse, we have to be ready.”
