Even though he has been out of the NBA for some time now, former Golden State Warriors big man Andrew Bogut still keeps an eye for what’s happening in the NBA. His most recent call was when Oklahoma City Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander committed a violation in a game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

In a thrilling matchup, Gilgeous-Alexander delivered a standout performance, scoring a career-high 45 points as the Thunder triumphed over the Clippers, 134-128. This game marked the Thunder’s first outing of the season without Chet Holmgren, who is sidelined for at least eight weeks due to a pelvic fracture.

Gilgeous-Alexander showcased his scoring prowess, hitting 13 of 21 field goal attempts and converting 15 of 16 from the free-throw line. He also contributed significantly with nine assists, leading his team to victory. Alongside him, Jalen Williams added 28 points, while Lu Dort chipped in with 19, highlighting the Thunder’s depth despite injury challenges.

The Thunder, undersized with their tallest starter at just 6-foot-6, played with relentless energy, committing only 11 turnovers throughout the game. Conversely, the Clippers struggled with foul trouble, which hampered their performance. Norman Powell led the Clippers with 31 points but fouled out late in the game, impacting their ability to close the gap.

Key moments included Gilgeous-Alexander’s two crucial free throws in the final seconds, cementing his career-high and sealing the win. The Thunder capitalized on the Clippers’ 24 turnovers, scoring 32 points off those mistakes, while also demonstrating superior free-throw shooting, making 22 of 23 attempts.

Former Golden State Warriors Big Man Andrew Bogut Calls Out NBA Officiating

During the game, Gilgeous-Alexander allegedly travelled, prompting Bogut to call the league out for missing the call. This can be seen in a video the ex-Warriors star shared on his official X account.

    Blatant travel first.

In the video showed above, Gilgeous-Alexander was attempting to drain a midrange shot. In doing so, Bogut pointed out that the OKC star travelled and the referees failed to call him out for that. This led the former NBA center to speak against the alleged travel and urged the league to change its rules.

It remains to be seen how the NBA will respond to Bogut’s claim and whether they’ll address the violation SGA committed. In any case, the former Warriors star will keep an eye out for this kind of play in the future.
