Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr was busy dealing with questions about trade rumors before their game against the Philadelphia 76ers and his players thought they should deal with that, too, while on court.

Kerr theorizes that his squad were affected by trade deadline chatters, leading to a blowout loss from the hands of the Eastern Conference opponents.
“I do think that the NBA season — it’s 82 games and you can almost feel the ebbs and flows. When you coach a team, when you’re part of a group, you can almost predict when things are going to go well and when they’re going to go poorly,” a disappointed Kerr told reporters post-game via SF Chronicle.
“Just overall health, mood and vibe. So, this was not a good vibe for us tonight. It doesn’t matter what the trade chatter is. It’s everyone’s job to come and bring the energy and the fight.”
Warriors played without Stephen Curry who is dealing with a knee injury and Jimmy Butler who missed the last seven games and will be out for the whole season due to torn ACL.

No player from the Warriors scored more than 15 point while the Sixers saw their rookie explode for 25 points while MVP candidate Tyrese Maxey had 14.
Green echoes Steve Kerr’s thoughts
Green was the veteran left without key members and he agrees with Kerr that they did not bring the needed energy to compete.
He also echoed the coach’s sentiment that the trade deadline rumors affected the players.
“You have to have the will and the want to compete and if I’m honest, I don’t think we quite had that tonight. It could be deadline talk,” he said.

Green is one Warrior who is heavily linked to trade rumors. In the same press conference, he admitted that he is affected by the chatters. He also got a little emotional talking about the possibility of him leaving Golden State after 13 years.

He said he would not be “upset” if they trade him “if that’s what’s best for this organization.” pic.twitter.com/lhCx8OTfst
