The Golden State Warriors have fallen to 10-10 after losing to the Houston Rockets on the road and head coach Steve Kerr didn’t mince words in saying that they are an average team. They might become a below average in the next few days if Stephen Curry fails to return healthy for them.

Warriors lost to the Rockets at home for the NBA Cup and are now virtually eliminated for the knockout stage with a 1-3 record, the worst in West Group C. What’s worse about is that their superstar Curry was not able to finish the game after limping off to the bench with around 35 seconds to go and his team down by points.

He finished the game with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 7 turnovers.
The hosts eventually settled for a 100-104 defeat and Curry’s status for the next game remains unknown.
Latest reports say he suffered a quad contusion.

The Warriors lost to a team that does not have superstar Kevin Durant although they also did not have Jonathan Kuminga.
Stephen Curry missing will change everything
Warriors are already struggling with him back in the line-up, which some of his teammates say is about their defense, and now, they will have to deal with the next few games without him.
Draymond Green: “Our defense is s***.”
“We are individually – I know everyone likes to twist words – I said WE are individually f****** awful.”

Kerr said this news changes everything for them.

“It obviously changes everything, our rotations, how we’re playing, who we’re playing through, so we’ll see,” the Warriors coach told reporters after the game.
There is an encouraging news though. According to Kerr, there is a chance the two-time MVP will recover fast because of the nature of the injury.
“When I heard it was a quad I was actually kind of relieved, better than an ankle or a knee, so hopefully he can recover quickly and be OK. But we’ve got to hold down the fort.”
