WNBA star Kelsey Plum received the ultimate honor from the Washington Huskies as her No. 10 jersey was retired during a memorable ceremony at Alaska Airlines Arena. The celebration marked Plum’s legacy as the first woman in the program’s history to have her jersey retired, solidifying her status as a true Huskies legend.

Plum, a standout in women’s basketball, was honored by the University of Washington when her No. 10 jersey was retired during a ceremony at Alaska Airlines Arena. This historic event marked her as the first female athlete in the program’s history to receive such an accolade, joining a select group of six UW legends.

The ceremony coincided with the Huskies’ commanding 87-58 victory over Purdue, showcasing both past and present excellence. As the game unfolded, the Huskies demonstrated their dominance, with four players scoring in double figures. Sayvia Sellers led the charge with 24 points, while Elle Ladine contributed 21, highlighting the team’s strong performance.

Reflecting on her journey, Plum expressed gratitude and nostalgia, recalling her time as a player and the memories associated with the university. She emphasized the support she received from coaches and teammates, which played a crucial role in her development as an athlete. “Life happens so fast,” Plum remarked, reminiscing about her journey since her freshman year.
