    Washington Wizards

Entering the 2024-25 season, there are not much expectations from the Washington Wizards, but there are other things to be excited about. Alex Sarr, the second overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft, made his pre-season debut and impressed with 15 points, four assists, three rebounds and one block in 23  minutes of playing time against the Toronto Raptors.

The Wizards fielded their projected starting lineup and played 24 minutes at the most against the Toronto Raptors but lost the game. Expect Kyshawn George, Korey Kisper, and Carlton Carrington to play more in this pre-season matchup.

    Players to watch:

Kyle Kuzma: 22.2 PPG, 6.6 RPG, 4.2 APG

Jordan Poole: 17.4 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.4  APG, 1.1 SPG

Malcolm Brogdon: 15.7 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 5.5 APG

    New York Knicks

Karl Anthony-Towns made his pre-season debut for the New York Knicks against the Charlotte Hornets and he was able to tally 10 points, four rebounds and two steals in just less than 15 minutes of gameplay. More so, the Knicks fans got excited about how Towns spread the floor, allowing Jalen Brunson to operate and score 12 points in their time together on the basketball court.

The Knicks put in more minutes on Cameron Payne, Precious Achiuwa, Jericho Sims, Miles McBride and Landry Shamat against the Hornets and they should do the same. This is pre-season and Coach Tom Thibodeau will look to fortify his second and third units before the season starts.

    Players to Watch:

Jalen Brunson: 25.0 PPG, 9.7 RPG, 6.3 APG, 1.1 SPG

    Karl-Anthony Towns: 19.1 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 2.6 APG

OG Anunoby: 15.1 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 1.1 APG, 1.1 BPG

Washington Wizards Vs New York Summary and Prediction

The New York Knicks should win this game against the Washington Wizards, but the spread of nine points will not be covered. The total of 222.5 should go under, just like their previous games. This is just pre-season, but the Wizards should try to get the score tighter than their last pre-season matchup.

    Moneyline: Knicks -425

    Spread: Wizards +9

    Total: Under 222.5

    Score: 115-107, Knicks win.
