Spectrum Center got awkward sooner than expected between a celebrity and a casual fan on Thursday night during the Charlotte Hornets vs. Indiana Pacers game.

For the unversed, rapper DaBaby attended in the crowd and watched Hornets lose to Pacers by two points. But the real drama escalated near the stands when the Charlotte native nearly squared up with a heckler.
The irony? Folks are taking that fan’s side, not the renowned rapper’s.
Fans React to DaBaby’s Short Fuse in Tense Standoff with Hornets Supporter
The recent viral clip showed DaBaby appearing upset as he moves towards the fan, who then apologizes as the situation feels intense.
What actually happened is that the heckler fan joked about the rapper’s shirt, calling it “little.” But his stand-up comedy turned tense in a second because DaBaby was upset following the Hornets’ 112-114 loss. So, he was in no mood to take any jab, though it was funny.
He literally turned back and headed toward the stands to confront the heckler. Security beside him had to stop him and defuse the situation before things got tense.
Actually, it was that fan’s fault because he didn’t back down initially. “Yes, I’m talking about you,” the fan continued. “Yes, you.”

DaBaby started to talk to the fan in a serious mood, but the heckler was far from the stands, and the arena’s noise drowned his voice in the video. Thankfully, the situation cooled down without any physical contact as the heckler quickly said sorry to DaBaby.
But the internet had plenty to say about the 34-year-old rapper’s thin skin. One fan wrote, “DaBaby has never been the same since what he said at Rolling Loud.”
Another fan added, “Show insecurity from DaBaby.”
The third shared, “Anyone on earth could ragebait this nigga out a settlement bag in 5 min.”
A fourth one asked, “Why he get so mad?”
The fifth claimed, “N— be goofy on purpose . For male attention . Smh nasty”
A sixth added, “The fan stood on business though.”
DaBaby has been involved in several highly publicized confrontations over the years. In 2020, he slapped a female fan at a Tampa concert after she allegedly shoved her phone into his face with the flash on.
He has a habit of reacting quickly if someone sounds disrespectful to him. The worst part? He doesn’t care about the public’s perception. That’s why many on social media are taking the fans’ side, not the rapper’s, due to his aggressive character.
